John Creed and Associates designed the structure to the glass-fronted extension of this popular restaurant in 2005.

The extension was added on to the brick-faced building formerly used as M.J. O’Connor Solicitors office. As this building was deemed as being particularly attractive, local Architects Mahon and Fox designed the new building incorporating most of the old building and blending in the brickwork with the new glass facade.

As the new part of the building is in essence steel-framed and the loading was likely to be highly uneven, this building was founded on a large raft foundation.

The steel frame then carries the concrete first floor and the flat timber roof.
