This housing estate was constructed by Wellingtonbridge developers William Bennett Construction Ltd starting in 1999. The original site was very irregular with numerous outcrops of rock and soft soil in places . Accordingly the foundations were complex and were built up off the underlying rock with reinforced concrete beams to provide firm bases for many of the houses and apartments.
